Manila Crypto Debates to discuss if blockchain is a need or not

Do you have something to say about blockchain technology? Do you think that blockchain is a technology we need? Or do you think that blockchain just an overhyped technology?

BlockChats, SCI, Particl and BlockchainSPACE PH is set to provide a venue for people to discuss all of this through their “first crypto debating club” in their upcoming event called as “Manila Crypto Debates”.

The event is scheduled to be held at BlockchainSPACE at Acceler8 in Paseo de Roxas, Makati City on 13 February 2019 from 6:30 PM until 9:30 PM.

The topic to be discussed at the debate is “You don’t need a Blockchain - Change my Mind”.

The event will feature Tagcash founder Mark Vernon and Fintech Philippines Association co-founder Rafael Padilla arguing for Team “You need a Blockchain”, and SCI co-founder Miguel Cuneta and ConsenSys developer Chris Verceles arguing for Team “You don’t need a Blockchain”.

Aside from the four Manila community favorites, event participants would have a chance to contribute their opinions for or against the need of blockchain technology during the debate.

The debate will consist of four rounds. Round One would have both teams give their opening arguments for their points. Round Two would have both teams argue against the points raised by the other team. Round Three would have event participants ask both teams or make comments about their arguments. Round Four would have both teams deliver their closing arguments.

The winning team in the debate would be decided through a vote by the event participants.

For more details regarding the event, you can check out the event details on Meetup or on BlockChat’s official website.
